Yes! POSIM is fully compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems. You can even use a mixed environment of computers within the same store.

Most likely. We have a few recommended printers and scanners that our support team is fully trained to troubleshoot. Other devices will generally work as long as they are compatible with your operating system, but by purchasing an item from our supported hardware list you are ensuring that our support team can be ready to help at a moment’s notice.

POSIM EVO has a robust importing tool that can be used to migrate items, customers, vendors, and more from a spreadsheet. If you can export your existing information, odds are it can be imported into POSIM easily. We also offer an optional custom database creation service where a POSIM professional can work with you to ensure that the data you need makes it into POSIM.

You are free to use any processor you like with POSIM. We typically recommend working with our sister company, National Merchant Alliance to get integrated processing set up. That said, POSIM has no requirements for your credit card processing, simply select credit or debit on the invoice window and finalize the sale using an integrated or non-integrated device.

Creating new items with POSIM is simple. You can press the plus (+) icon at the top of the item card to make a new blank item, then begin entering the item’s information. POSIM also features a “Quick-Add” tool that helps create similar items by removing the need to handkey repetitive fields. Specific vendors can create new item cards found on their website in your system with only a few clicks, thanks to our vendor integrations. Finally, if you’re looking to accurately create many items at once, our spreadsheet importing tools can fully make new item records, with an average speed faster than 1 item per second. Get up, grab a cup of coffee, and come back to a fully loaded inventory.

POSIM EVO has a straightforward sales process. Start by adding your customer and scanning the items. Tax is automatically applied, and you can add any comments, discounts, or freight as needed. Then simply select your payment method and enter the amount to charge the customer. The highly-customizable preferences built into the software allow you to require more or fewer steps depending on the needs of your business. You can also alter your transaction types, allowing you to do layaways, special orders, or payments to a customer account. After each transaction, an option to print or email a receipt is provided to the clerk, and a closed record of the sale is saved to your system.
