Whisk Carolina began with a passion for cooking. Dan and Diana Saklad were inspired from an idea of building a community of chefs and home cooks eager to create, share, and help each other learn. Both Dan and Diana shared the dream of building a retail store where local customers could find every culinary and kitchenware item they desired—all in one place. After shopping at cooking stores across the country they saw flawed business models and an opportunity to create a better way. That’s when Whisk was born.
Since its inception in 2013, Whisk Carolina has received numerous local, national, and international awards for its excellence in mission, visual merchandising, marketing, customer service, staff training, and innovation.

At Whisk, you can find over 15,000 quality kitchenware products and attend up to 50 cooking classes and events each month. The 4,200-square-foot kitchenware store has a cooking school that offers a wide variety of classes for aspiring home cooks of all skill levels to learn and enjoy a hands-on experience. Whisk also provides a number of value-added services such as knife sharpening, bridal and gift registry. Dan and Diana have truly created a unique destination for kitchenware, cooking expertise, and culinary inspiration.

Due to the seemingly endless amount of inventory and managing a high number of employees, Dan and Diana find POSIM’s point-of-sale software to be an invaluable tool in managing their business.
